This year for the annual Yonker family trip we headed to the Dominican Republic. As always, it was tons of fun...I'd like to say totally relaxing but that is a bit tough to do when you are constantly chasing Gavin. So, although it was super nice to have no agenda and lay on the beach, he definitely kept us on our toes for the week and battled the typical child on vacation exhaustion. (Not to mention, out of the blue, he cut his first two molars that week.) We did however get to enjoy beautiful weather and lots of fun with the family. Gavin loves, I mean LOVES, the beach. He would have played all day in the sand and if he was with his cousins, even better. He was in his element all week with kids, sand, water, Daddy, Uncles and Grandparents. It was a great trip and we are so blessed to have that opportunity. Thanks Gram and Gramp!
First taste of Dominican sand...
...and his reaction.
This is how we chill.
Grandpa kept telling Gavin, when in doubt stick to bread....Gavin was just doing as he was told.
Laughing & Splashing.
Gavin enjoys his first daiquri. Yum.
Decides he should definitely share with Mommy...two straws...awww.
Oh, now Mommy should double straw herself.
There was lots of interest in Baby Charlie.
Getting some sweet hang time.
Enjoying the kids show with Sam.
Gavin is feeding the ducks and I am apparently flashing the other side of the pond.
Gavin was definitely not interested in our starfish excursion.
Chad and I with the only three starfish that we saw...the jury is still out but we are pretty sure they were "planted" by our tour guide.
The REAL starfish that was found. Notice a difference?
Grandpa and his bathing beauties.
Gavin finally made it off the boat to touch a starfish.
Compliments of Aunt Sue, the three "babies" in their IPOOD onesies. We're a classy family alright.
Sand Castle contest...all family participation.
The finished product.
New Year's Eve with my hubby and my little Moroccan.

Gavin and Grandpa share an ice cream dessert.
Happy New Year!! - Gavin couldn't quite figure out how to blow through the thing, so he would just yell into it to make noise. It was so funny.
Charlie will wonder why we do these things to him in the future.

Partaking in a little Liar's Dice as we waited for midnight.
