Earlier this week we had to say goodbye to Maddie. She has been having some health problems for over a year and it was finally time to let her go. The end was difficult and she had deteriorated to the point where she could barely walk.
Chad and I are so sad. We reminisced about the day we took her home in May, 2001. She's been with us since just a few months after we got married. She was definitely our first "baby" and was treated as such over the years. She brought us a lot of love over that time.
We'd like to think in Disney terms that "all dogs go to heaven" and that right now, she is running around with an endless supply of string cheese, tug-of-war rope games and countless belly rubs.

Oh Maddie, we will miss you! (yes, Dave will too!) Glad you got some pics of her and the kids - good memories to have.
