Pompeii & Naples (Day 9-10)

Saturday...our last full day in Italy we took a car back to Naples where we'd be staying for the night. On the way we had a 2 hour pit stop in Pompeii. A-mazing! We could have spent so much more time there as it is truly fascinating. As for Naples...we could have done without.....

All of this was buried by a volcano and trapped in time back in 79 A.D.

This just describes Naples - disgusting, dirty, graffitti, shady, smelly and full of garbage piles everywhere!

Our room in Naples - in the city center (not recommended) where people party in the streets all night long and you have to keep your windows open b/c city ordinance doesn't allow hotels to turn the air on until June. What!?!? Awful.
