The time finally came for our very first trip to Disney World with the kids!! I don't know who was more excited--them or us! I had put in many hours and emails of research and planning into this trip and we were praying it would be as successful and fun as we hoped. We kept putting it into terms they would understand by telling them this was where Mickey and Minnie Mouse live...among other of their favorite characters. We'd been talking it up for weeks and we finally arrived on a Wednesday about midday. The four of us and my parents were staying in a condo at the Saratoga Springs Resort. After lunch and a quick rest for the kids, we went to Downtown Disney for our first night.
Checking out Legoland.
Designing our own race cars to put down the track.
Someone was taking it VERY seriously.
Time to race!
Lego Woody!
This table is my brother Kyle's dream....and my nightmare!
Lego Buzz!
Sydney quickly found this princess and ran right up to her!
Downtown Disney has the largest Disney store which we had to check out. Within minutes Sydney found a little Minnie Mouse that she WOULD.NOT.PUT.DOWN. We tried enticing her with other (even bigger!) items just to distract her. She was having none of it. She just kept calling it "her minnie." In fact, you will notice her Minnie in many of the pictures b/c Minnie had to accompany us on every ride and most meals.
Let the Pirate fun begin!
Dinner at T-Rex.
Gavin was amazed and couldn't stop staring and pointing and running from one dino to the next.
Sydney was fine....
....until one of them moved!
