Arrrgh! A Pirate Party!

We have been talking about a certain pirate birthday party for weeks....scratch that, months!  Gavin was so excited about this party and had been telling anyone that would listen about the pirate birthday extravaganza ahead.  The party did not disappoint him in anway.  This kid had so much fun I could not contain him.  He was beyond thrilled to have a pirate party, in a pirate costume with all of his favorite "pirates" along side of him.  It was an awesome day to celebrate Gavin.

Aye, mateys!

He greeted EVERY guest as they came in the door with a huge smile and some pirate banter.
Unfortunately, the weather outside was nothing short of a sea squall in itself!
Pirate treasures for our friends.
Checking out the booty.

Captain Nate and Christa.

Everyone got in on the pirate mood!

The littlest pirate....RG.
He was having so much fun playing and running with his cousins, that this sweaty mess was the result.  He was literally sopping wet!

Our pirate feast.

Even some of the gifts were pirate themed...pirate water table...
....a pirate puppet.
He got his very first two-wheel bike!
And in another mode of transportation...a canoe!!  Thanks to Uncle Chad and Auntie Lo.

Birthday Weekend

For the last couple years, our cousins have come Labor Day weekend to celebrate Gavin's birthday and hang out with us.  Per usual, our weekend was full of fun activities!  We just love having them come to stay with us and the kids cannot get enough of each other.

Morning games.

We are 100% a Ford family....almost.  :)
Thankfully, they still accept me.

Brookfield Zoo fun!

Sydney and Grandma waving to the animals.

These two are so cute, I can't handle it.

Amazing polar bear activity!
