On to Positano....(Day 5)

The next morning we were off to Positano. We took a fast train to Naples and from there we had about 1 1/2 hour drive to the coast with a driver named Franco. Franco was great but he ONLY addressed me in the car, never Chad - he loved to talk and apparently only to the woman in the car. Hilarious. Our first day in Positano we just relaxed, checked in and explored the town that was our new "home base." We soon realized we'd be in for a work out. Our driver dropped us off and said walk downward through the streets until the beach where you will find your hotel--no cars were allowed past a certain point. He gave a guy our luggage and told us it'd be there when we arrived. Thankfully the hotel he was right on both accounts!

Here comes our train.

EuroStar.

So fun and easy!

First picture of Mt Vesuvius (thanks to Franco).

Lunch at the famous beach side restaurant Chez Black.

The winding UPHILL streets of Positano.

Love going through all the passageways.

Inside the Duomo.

Beautiful courtyards and flowers everywhere.Looking up from where we were shopping. Beautiful dome on the Duomo. View from the streets higher up in Positano - that pool in the middle of the picture is part of our hotel. The homes are built in to the side of the cliffs and mountains.
Gelato. Yum. Taking a snooze on the patio in the chaise lounges. Awesome.
Our view from our balcony.
Dinner at La Cubisa.
Post dinner stroll.
Night view from our balcony.
I'm such a poser.
