Bengston's Pumpkin Patch

Per a family tradition, we went to Bengston's pumpkin patch with my family this year. We were lucky and actually happened to hit one of the few sunny days in early October for our outing. Gavin of course was in sensory overload and just kept pointing and saying "wow" to all of the Halloween "people" they have perched around the place. He had so much fun in the petting zoo, watching the pig races, seeing all the animals and of course picking out pumpkins. It is so fun to watch the amazement on his face as he takes in all these new sights and sounds (well, new from what little he would remember from last year).

So excited about riding the choo-choo with Grandpa.

He was so patient waiting for his turn to ride but the anticipation was just killing him.

There were tears when the ride was over.

Being a chicken...by the dancing/singing chickens.

Not interested in that freak next to him...and no, I'm not talking about Uncle Chad.

Hi Pigs....you are awfully close.

My pumpkin in the patch.

Funny kid liked this one...even though he didn't get it.

Three pumpkins tall.

Yes, lets pump dirty water and then swish it around with our hands...Mom will love that one.

Finally--the PETTING ZOO!!

He honestly has no fear so we are lucky he walked out with all 10 fingers still attached.

Harry was ready with his carrot.

More goats.

When out of food, do what the name says...pet the animals.
We are very into sanitation.

Milking a cow....saying "mooo."

Pig races on Grandpa's lap.

Picking out his pumpkin.

Found the perfect one...he only went for the green ones.

Gavin & mom.

Gavin & Harry.

Chad was super happy that huge heavy pumpkin was the one I picked out.
